A final goodbye to the National Museum of Fine Art at Admiralty House

Heritage Malta is organising the last event at the National Museum of Fine Arts at the Admiralty House in South Street on Wednesday 5th October 2016. The museum will open for the last time for a farewell party inviting everyone especially for those who had connections with this museum throughout the years.

dsc_4632Those attending this activity, which starts at 7.00pm, can exchange their experiences and even renew their memories. The National Museum of Fine Arts at South Street will close its doors for the last time next Sunday after 42 years. This venue is known as the Admiralty House due to its use during the British colonial period as official residence of the British Admiral of the Mediterranean Fleet.

Although this activity is a final goodbye from its current location, the event is also beign organised to Heritage Malta’s journey towards 2018 when MUŻA, the new national community art museum, will be inaugurated at the Auberge d’Italie when Valletta will be declared European Capital of Culture.
