On the 30th anniversary of the World Wide Web Day, Heritage Malta is pleased to announce the launch of a newly revamped website which aims to create a user-friendly browsing experience for all those who have Malta’s cultural heritage at heart.
Mainly designed for the visitor who is interested to get introduced to Heritage Malta’s attractions, the new website is easier to navigate, more user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing and focused on providing easy access to the most important information.
Each Heritage Malta museum and site has a dedicated page which provides updated details about the opening days and hours, together with information about the admission fees. Most of these pages include also a location map, 360 degrees views of the site, basic information with photos of some of the most renowned artefacts, and a short video which shares a taste of what visitors can see on their visit at this attraction. The new website opens also a window on Heritage Malta’s various conservation labs and the Diagnostic Science Laboratories.
Other sections of the website provide a clear message of what Heritage Malta stands for, updated news related to the Agency, as well as a calendar of activities listing all Heritage Malta’s exhibitions and events, with easy access to online booking. For those who are interested to support the Agency, there is also a segment dedicated to membership, partnerships and sponsorships.
Heritage Malta Acting Chief Executive Officer, Noel Zammit, said that it was a significant achievement for the Agency to succeed in changing its website. He explained that although the website still provides information about Heritage Malta and its work, in reality it is mostly a visitor centric website since it was created around the interests and needs of its users. He invited the public to access this website to learn more about the extensive cultural heritage of our country.
