Heritage Malta will open Fort St. Angelo on the occasion of Victory Day, on 8th September. With the cooperation of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM), the upper part of the fort managed by the SMOM will also be accessible to the public.

Visitors can appreciate the recently concluded major restoration works and enjoy the splendid views. A number of activities will also be organised on the day.

Two masses will be celebrated at the Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin and the Chapel of St. Anne at 9.30am and noon respectively. At 10.30am a Victory Day memorial ceremony will be held next to the memorial of the Great Siege.

Two guided tours, in Maltese and English, will be held at 11.00am and 3.00pm. Throughout the day, the re-enactment groups, ‘Compagnia San Michele’ and ‘Show of Arms’, together the Malta Historical Fencing Association, will animate the site with their activities.

In the afternoon, thanks to the fort’s strategic position at the tip of Vittoriosa, visitors can also view the traditional Regatta held every year in the Grand Harbour.

Fort St. Angelo will open between 9.00am and 6.30pm, last admission at 6.00pm, for the price of €2 per person.
