The Maltese Natural Environment – Does it have a future?

On Friday 18th January, the National Museum of Natural History in Mdina will be launching a series of informal public meetings presenting various themes related to Malta’s natural environment.

These meetings will be focusing on the biological diversity of the Maltese Islands and on the conservation issues which are constantly affecting our archipelago. Over the span of this year, participants will view a number of original videos covering various topics of contemporary interest, such as – local flora and fauna, introduced and alien species, loss of habitat etc. All documentaries have been produced locally by Richard Cachia-Zammit (ASIO Enterprises) and John J. Borg, Senior Curator of the National Museum of Natural History. Each of these events will end with a discussion accompanied by light refreshments.

The first meeting will include an original 30-minute documentary in English, providing an insight about the different Maltese natural environments.

Location: Activity Hall at the National Museum of Natural History in Mdina.

Time: 18.30 – 20.00 hrs

Entrance is free. Donations are appreciated.
